Top-notch products but manuals need work. Need to provide more info about helmet mounting of FLY12.

Product is very good but setup info not so much! I have an up-to-date iPhone 16 with the CycliqPlus app downloaded for the second time yesterday, and was unable to access footage wirelessly on the phone, although I could from my MacBook Air using a cable with USB-C on both ends, but only when plugged directly into one of the two USB-C ports. Doesn't work using the same cable plugged into a port on my port pod (dongle), or with the cable that came with both FLY6 and FLY12 units, which has USB-B on one end and USB-C on the other end. Suggest shipping units with double-ended USB-C cable, or include an adapter, as USB-C is the more recent standard. I am not submitting a separate review of the FLY6, but oddly I CAN view its video footage on the iPhone via the CycliqPlus app, wirelessly connecting to the FLY6 unit.

I also finally figured out that I needed a GoPro-compatible helmet strap mount for my bicycle helmet, got from Amazon with several different pieces for different mounting arrangements. Also bought a somewhat more robust helmet strap (no other pieces included) directly from GoPro, so I can leave the straps on my two different bike helmets ,and just move the camera back and forth between them. Turns out I ordered the pair of "universal adapters" from Cycliq for nothing, since both FLY cam/light units came with one included. I put one on the handlebar of my road bike for times I don't feel like having the FLY12 so visible as it is when mounted on the top of my road helmet…

If smaller will be much better.

It's the best Fly6 of all I've used, it would be better if it could be made a little smaller.

    The best bike dashcam

After one too many close calls, I decided to look at options on dashcams for my bike. The Fly12 Sport came recommended to me from a friend who has used in several times in successfully prosecuting drivers who has close passed him.

I’m loving it so far, super easy to use and I love the Strava overlays in the app.

    Fly6 Pro

Have been using the Fly6 CE over the last 7+ years. All year round, in all sorts of UK weathers, it's done a stirling job. It needed replacing. Bought the Fly6 Pro recently. Substantial improvement. Its a bigger unit altogether, with bigger battery, it last way longer. The old Fly6 CE unit was running out of charge before my 3 hour ride finished, not so anymore, and Fly6 Pro still has charge left for a few more hours (though I've not tested it to see how long it will actually last for yet).

It has a helpful built in information screen, 3 buttons (instead of 2). Is easier to use and much better camera picture quality. Has a proper access door for charging, which is so much better.

Well done Cycliq a good quality product.

    Fly6 Pro (tramline interpretations)

Purchased this unit recently to replace the original prototype that stopped working years ago due to battery issues. Still concerned with inability to replace battery but purchased anyway specifically for the tramlines overview to capture incidents such as depicted in attached photo. Somewhat disappointed that there is not any better explanation of how the tramlines are represented & interpreted. Tramlines set at 1 m with 54cm bar width, 0 offset as camera mounted on seat post and at 85cm height. Am assuming that the roadside tramline represents 1 m from outside of handlebar. How do you interpret the actual or definitive closeness of a vehicle from a photo such as this in order to convince police/court that vehicle was inside to protective zone? Are there any resources to help with interpretation ie: if the tramlines shows 4-5" in height on tire of vehicle with mirror extending another 5-6", how far into the protected zone and how close is the vehicle to the cyclist. Further science-based interpretation would be helpful.
