After one too many close calls, I decided to look at options on dashcams for my bike. The Fly12 Sport came recommended to me from a friend who has used in several times in successfully prosecuting drivers who has close passed him.
I’m loving it so far, super easy to use and I love the Strava overlays in the app.

This is a high quality unit, with v good picture quality and easy operation. I love being able overlay Strava data on the downloaded clips. I’m also impressed with the battery and memory card capacities.
Missed out on 5 stars due to handle bar fitting being too small for my pretty standard (ie not aero) bars.
When attached under my Garmin unit out front the vibrations from my local coarse chip (NZ) roads proved too much for the image stabilisation to deal with. However, I solved the problem by wrapping g a Grunt Versa Strap (with a little elasticity in it) around the unit. See the picture.
I would also love to have wireless connection to a PC or phone to view and edit clips - a facility all modern cameras have.
Overall, I’m a happy customer.

I have had the FlySport 12 for a while now and I absolutely love it. From the image stabilisation to image quality, to the app experience on both desktop and mobile - it's almost perfect. The recent CycliqEdge data fields on the Garmin head unit makes it even better. Video recording runtime without the light is almost 7 hours which is more than enough for most of my 60 - 70 mile club rides.
As well as the the safety aspect of it, the social/creative side is also catered for very well by the quality of the footage you get. The only thing Fly12 Sport needs to improve on is wi-fi connectivity much like it is the case with the newer Fly6 Pro (which I also have). I suspect wi-fi will land in the Fly13 Sport :-)

How do I attach it my handlebars?
The Fly12 Sport Bundle includes a Duo Mount - dual-purpose bike mount that attaches your Fly12 Sport and bike computer to your handlebars. It is lightweight, super strong and beautifully designed. The mount is compatible with 31.8mm handlebars and includes two different bike computer adaptors
For bikes with integrated or aero handlebars, a Universal Adapter is also included. This allows the Fly12 Sport to be mounted using universal (action camera) style mounting fins. Most handlebar manufacturers, especially those producing aero or integrated cockpits, offer out front mounts that are compatible with universal (action camera) style mounting fins, making it easy to integrate the Fly12 Sport with existing setups or aftermarket mounting solutions.

What is the maximum SD card capacity?
The Fly12 Sport includes a 64GB microSD card pre-installed. Should you chose a larger capacity vard, The Fly12 Sport supports FAT32 formatted microSD cards up to 256GB
How do I maximise battery life?
To maximise battery life, select a lower intensity light mode and turn off the Fly12 Sport when not in use. The light mode last used will be remembered when the Fly12 Sport is turned off. The next time the Fly12 Sport is turned on it will resume with the previously used light mode. Please consider the bicycle light regulations in your area when setting up your light modes.
